Our Story
Derek Egan, the founder of Remedy Geotechnics, spent his early working life travelling the world with the Royal Marines. The time he spent travelling gave him a fascination for different cultures and places – and the variety within the built environment that he had observed across the world. He decided to train as a civil engineer later specialising in geotechnical engineering. In dealing with the ground he discovered an area of endless fascination that also presented the sort of challenge that he loved.
After many years of working for large engineering companies, Derek decided to start Remedy Geotechnics, which operates in two locations, Daventry and Harrogate. Our Harrogate office is run by Daniel Simpson the company’s Technical Director.
Remedy Geotechnics has come to reflect the high standard and pragmatic geotechnical design that we believe to be achievable and represents great quality and innovative design.
